What a life to celebrate!!

I am going to do another post later today, but I have a very vivid memory talking to Jason at my carrel during what would have been the first semester of the 2L year. We were chatting about who knows what when Laurie walked up. During the short conversation, Jason managed to wrangle a bet with Laurie that if he won the bet, she would go out with him. I don’t know what happened with the bet, but I do remember the gleam in Jason’s eye as she walked away, and he said “she is the best kept secret of this law school.” After I heard about their marriage I have thought of that conversation several times, and recognized that “gleam” in Jason’s eye as his determination to succeed.

It is very difficult to refer to Jason in the past – so I am just going to state how things are in my mind right now. Jason is the kind of person who knows what he wants. He is the kind of person that achieves any goal he sets for himself. I am grateful I had the chance to get to know him during my three semesters at BYU and am very grateful that we had gotten back in touch over the last year or two.

What a life to celebrate!!
